It has, through a comment in PubPeer, come to our attention that an unfortunate duplication of an image has occurred in Figure 2A of our paper. The same image appeared both in the column with immunoprecipitation of Cx43 as the PKA-Cα blot (misplaced) and the column with immunoprecipitation of PKA-Cα as the PKA-RIIα blot (correct place). In the figure below this has been corrected so that the original blot for PKA-Cα from the Cx43 immunoprecipitation appears in the right place. We apologize to the readers for our mistake.
