    Salinity can adversely affect the yield of major crops, impacting on all plant developmental stages from germination through to ripening. In the latest issue of the Biochemical Journal (volume 476, issue 16), Khan et al. investigate the potential of rhizobacteria AK1 in remediating the toxic effects of salinity stress in soybeans.
