The cover of this issue of Biochemical Journal shows how recombinant MUC17 localizes to the plasma membrane independent of epithelial cell differentiation and brush border maturation. Assessment of 3F-MUC17(7TR) localization in Caco-2 cells during cell differentiation was taken at 1, 7, 14, and 21 days post confluency. Confocal images represent maximum projections of the entire length of the cell, scale bars 10 µm; n = 3 scans with a mean of 60 cells per time point.
