Impact and information
Bioscience Reports is a fully open access journal, and every article carries a Gold open access article publishing charge (APC). All articles are published under a Creative Commons CC BY licence.
Bioscience Reports adheres to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access: that users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of open access articles published in the Journal.
Authors will retain copyright and assign Portland Press an exclusive Licence to Publish. For open access articles published in , the Licence to Publish assigned to the publisher by authors will reference the Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence, to guide use and re-use terms for authors and readers.
Article publishing charges:
- £1100 (£880 discounted rate for Biochemical Society members and for authors who are from an institution that subscribes to a journal in the Portland Press portfolio)
- $1550 ($1240 discounted rate for Biochemical Society members and for authors who are from an institution that subscribes to a journal in the Portland Press portfolio)

Bioscience Reports does not charge submission or page charges.
