Message from Professor Rhian Touyz, Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Science
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the fact that most researchers may not have access to laboratories to undertake additional experiments requested by reviewers, the Clinical Science Editorial Board wish to emphasize that even during these difficult times, they are committed to ensuring that the journal publishes the best science in a timely manner. We aim to continue the robust review process. However to help our scientific community, we will be flexible with timelines, deadlines, and requests for additional experiments. Authors with papers in revision should discuss with the Associate Editor what can and what cannot be addressed in response to reviewers requests. Reviewers should work closely with the Editorial Office to help ensure that the review and publication process flows as seamlessly as possible, while still being flexible. The Editorial Board are working together to make informed recommendations where difficult publication decisions need to be made. We recognise that everyone has been touched in some way by the current situation and thank you all for your continued support of the journal, which is committed to publishing and communicating your best research.
