Clinical Science scope
Linking basic science to disease mechanisms
Translating molecular bioscience and experimental research into medical insights, Clinical Science offers comprehensive studies using a multi-disciplinary approach including models of human disease and clinical perspectives to advance human health.
Its international Editorial Board is charged with selecting peer-reviewed original papers of the highest scientific merit covering the broad spectrum of biomedical specialities including, although not exclusively:
- Cardiovascular system
- Cerebrovascular system
- Gastrointestinal tract and liver
- Genomic medicine
- Infection and immunity
- Endocrinology and nutrition
- Respiratory system
- Vascular biology
- Molecular pathology
In addition to research papers, the journal features state-of-the-art review articles written by experts in the field, hypotheses, and invited commentaries and scientific correspondence on recently published papers appearing in the journal.
Please note that Clinical Science will not consider the following paper types:
- Case reports/studies
- Epidemiological and population health studies
- Clinical trials/observational studies
- Systematic reviews/meta-analysis
- Biomarker studies without a mechanistic focus
