The cover of this edition of Neuronal Signalling features an immunofluorescent image of a mouse forelimb lumbrical muscle exposed to HcT (magenta), which is a fluorescently-labelled probe used to assess the dynamics of axonsl signalling endosomes in vivo. HcT is taken up at the neuromuscular junction (labelled in green with alpha-bungarotoxin) where it hijacks signalling endosomes undergoing retrograde axonal transport.
